About
GB Futures
Philly Hall - Wharariki River Magic

Golden Bay Futures is dedicated to helping Golden Bay residents plan and create a sustainable future. That means our great-grandchildren will have food, housing, jobs, open space, natural beauty, and a clean safe environment – as good or better than what we have now. And that they’ll know how to pass all that on to their great-grandchildren!

We are creating the future with every choice and action we take now. If we work together with each other and our government, we can shape our present and future to work for all, forever.

We invite you to join us.

General Meeting

A general meeting with the TDC planners is being considered
for a later date, so "watch this site."
No meeting is planned for October otherwise.

Minutes from 05Sept2005 Meeting

Elisabet Sahtouris
Tuesday 18 October
GB futures will be bringing world-renowned scientist
to speak in Takaka.
Elisabet is an internationally known evolution biologist, futurist,
author and business consultant who sees solutions to our big social and
economic problems in Earth's ecosystems and indigenous sciences.
Elisabet Sahtouris' book EARTHDANCE: LIVING SYSTEMS IN EVOLUTION
can be downloaded FREE at her personal website:
http://www.ratical.org/LifeWeb/#articles
where a number of very interesting articles by her
can also be downloaded in a variety of formats.

"GB Futures is seeking sponsors to help pay Dr. Sahtouris' honorarium
plus hall hire and publicity costs. We believe the information she will
share is so important that everyone in GB ought to be able to hear it. If we can
get sponsorship/donations of $1,000 or more, we will be able to offer her
presentation to all for FREE. Half or more of that amount will allow a
reduced entry charge of $5 - $7 instead of $10. If you can help support
this important talk -- one of only three she'll give in New Zealand, we will
gladly list you as a sponsor if you like, or your name can be kept
anonymous if you prefer."
Please contact gbfutures@xtra.co.nz if you can help.
