About Golden Bay Futures, Inc.
Our Purpose
The Society’s overarching purpose is twofold:
Firstly to bring together the Golden Bay community in visionary and practical planning, decision-making and action for a sustainable
1 short and long term future that provides the greatest possible quality of life in GB;secondly to actively collaborate with GB’s various governing bodies, to the greatest extent possible, in planning and actualising our future.
Our Beliefs
The Society’s Goals and Objectives are based on the following GUIDING ASSUMPTIONS:
a) Golden Bay’s future will be determined by every choice we make in the present.
b) To shape a future which offers the greatest quality of life for all, cooperative negotiation through respectful communication is preferable to arbitration between opposing positions.
c) With each choice we face in the present, our guiding question must be: “According to the best information available, does this decision lead toward the future we desire, or away from it?”
